Second week:

We made a field trip to CALOI'S factory. We learned about the process of making a bike from scratch and everything that it implies. We took a look into the new technology machines there are now using to improve the creating bikes system and we compared it with the human hand manufacturing. We saw the wastes they have and dig a little bit on it. Also in this week, we finally got to talk to Marcos, the R&D Chief of the CALOI company in São Paulo. He talk to us about what he considered to be a good opportunity of sustentable bike. He mentioned the kids bikes, most of the parts are made out of brand new plastic.
