5th week

So this week started with a online meeting with the Caloi’s staff where we got the chance to clear some doubts about the challenge that they gave us. I’m really excited about this project because as a team, we complement each other in order to our skills.

Right now we are finishing the ideation part of the “design thinking” process and starting on the prototyping phase. We are looking at the children’s bikes models from Caloi, working with the plastic parts, and we asked them about the technical drawings of the bikes.

We divide the work almost unconsciously in 3 sub-teams: marketing, prototyping and research. Caroline and me, are in charge of the marketing part, we started working in a “sticker” for the bikes with the bioplastic to show that they’re eco friendly.

Matheus and Raphaela are in charge of the prototyping part, they started on he modeling some plastic bike parts and in the program that they are going to use to measure the material’s properties.

At last but not least, Vitor is in charge of the research and now he is looking for information about if this new plastic can be colored and also about some complains we saw on the website that showed how people are not that satisfied with the mechanicals characteristics of the normal plastic bike.
